Cyber Operations
Graduate Certificate

With an online graduate certificate in cyber operations from ¶¶ÒõÊÓƵ, you'll learn the essential aspects of cyber operations, risk analysis, cyber defense, and cryptography. You'll also learn how to build defenses as an integral part of a computing system and how to detect and defend against vulnerabilities and intrusions on a variety of platforms.

Career Preparation

This program is designed to help you prepare for a career as a cyber defense analyst, forensics analyst, or incident responder; cyber operator; or secure software assessor.

Experience Recommended for Success in the Program

Ideally, you should have recently completed an undergraduate degree in computer science or a related discipline. You are expected to be familiar with cybersecurity and computer science concepts and be comfortable developing code in at least one programming language.

Experience performing cybersecurity tasks in a work environment would enhance the learning experience, as well as experience in information technology, computer networks, or cybersecurity. Strong writing skills are encouraged in this program.

This program requires a total of 30 credits. You’ll take 15 credits of core courses, 12 elective credits, and a 3-credit capstone.

This program is designed to help prepare you for work in government organizations, the private sector, and law enforcement agencies in the areas of computer and digital crime. Potential job titles within specific digital forensics and cyber investigation careers include cyber defense forensics analyst, cyber defense incident responder, systems security analyst, law enforcement/counterintelligence forensics analyst, and information security analyst.
